The Golden Age Cinema is a boutique cinema and bar located in the Paramount Pictures building in Surry Hills, the building was originally build in the 1930's by Paramount and the cinema was a working cinema used to screen war films to the public.   East Electrical were engaged to restore the cinema which had been vacant for over 40 years.        
  Building on the already popular format of  Saturday in Design ,  Sydney Indesign  is now a three-day design celebration taking over the city annual in August.    East Electrical were engaged to create a lighting and sound art installation as part of the Sydney Indesign  program for Australia’s leading lighting designer  Inlite.     East Electrical installed designer luminaries including Marset pendants from Barcelona, Christopher Boot’s unique Australian suspended shapes and Tim Van Steenbergen’s Metrodome.  The lighting installation was viewed by hundreds of leading Australian designers, architects and artists across the four day festival.
